CON-CRET Creatine HCL Review

CON-CRET Creatine HCL comes from a Massachusetts-based supplement company, Promera Sports. Although the company doesn’t have a lot to offer in the supplements except for some pre-workouts and fat burners; but their best product is their creatine monohydrate, CON-CRET.

The unique thing about this product is that it’s very tiny(twenty-five grams). While most of the brands suggest a serving size of 5-grams, this CON-CRET from Promera suggests only 750 milligrams for every 100 pounds of your body weight. Its superior solubility being the reason; the brand suggests taking these small Micro Doses according to the body weight and the workout intensity.

CON-CRET Creatine HCL Ingredients

One scoop of CON-CRET Creatine HCL contains 750 milligrams of creatine monohydrate, with anti-caking agent tricalcium phosphate, some natural flavors, and sucralose. One important thing to note that this product is free from all kinds of artificial flavors; but it does contain sucralose, which is an artificial sweetener and some people don’t like it.

So as we now know that it is different from other creatine supplements. But is it actually effective or it is just a hype?

You will love the science behind the product. The ingredients are made by tying creatine with molecules of hydrochloride lowering its pH. This leads to the product being more soluble and fewer chances of it settling down at the bottom of the glass. Hence, it reduces its probability of causing any digestive issues.

CON CRET Creatine HCL Supplements

Many people experience cramping and some other issues when they go for some regular creatine. The good news is that Creatine HCL can serve as the remedy for those people and studies also back these facts.

CON CRET Creatine HCL Benefits

Athletes also believe that since it’s more soluble, the Creatine HCL absorbs easily, we don’t need larger amounts of this. It’s also a belief that it delivers the same results in less amount of creatine monohydrate as 5-gram servings of other brands. It’s also a belief that Creatine HCL breaks into free creatine and free hydrochloric acid in the stomach which already has a lot of acid.

Although, it is just a theory and there is no research or study on this to date. There are no actual studies that say Creatine HCL absorbs better than the latter creatine monohydrate.

A study gets in the air around the theory by a co-inventor of creatine HCL but wasn’t published anywhere officially. The experiment demonstrated that there was 70% more creatine in the body’s plasma after hours when Creatine HCL was consumed as compared to monohydrate.

This could mean that more creatine is used which is not true; when you take creatine it either goes into the plasma, the muscles, or is excreted out. This depicts that if there is more creatine in the plasma; there is less creatine in the muscles, which hinders muscle growth. So according to this, we can say that Creatine HCL is somehow less effective than monohydrate.

But again we don’t have many experiments to take an average of, so we can’t jump to conclusions. This leaves us in the middle with less evidence and not surety about which creatine is better: Creatine HCL or Creatine Monohydrate.

CON-CRET Creatine HCL Price

Honestly, I found it to be more expensive than regular creatine monohydrate. It’s prices are:

Small tub (24 servings)    – $16.50(91.6 cents per gram)

Large tub (48 servings)    – $18.50(51 cents per gram)

Whereas a regular monohydrate comes at around 3 to 5 cents per gram of creatine.

COR-CRET Creatine HCL Taste

For reviewing the taste, we chose the lemon-lime flavor and it was like that old-fashioned lemonade or the sweetened lemon.

Final Takeaway

I will recommend this CON-CRET to the ones who face issues like cramps or indigestion due to monohydrate. There is no such compulsion to go for only 750 mg per 100 pounds of your body weight; you can go for 5-gram servings as is the case with creatine monohydrate.

If you are somebody who is looking for some change in variety, you can surely go for this. But if you have this in your mind that it is more effective, I will recommend that go for the scientific evidence and then make a sound choice.
